Malishev Engineers completed their work on the steel and glass roof structure of The Ned’s private members club, proving to be one of the top places to socialise in London. The new mega hotel (The Ned) converted from the City’s iconic Midland Bank building, originally designed by Sir Edwin Lutyen, was completed and opened to the public in 2017.
The private members zone (The Ned’s Club) was carried out in two stages with last stage (vertical sliding windows) completed in early 2019.
Our work involved design and co-ordination of the steel and glass for the large retractable glass roof with associated long span steelwork and its connections to the main building. Specially designed steel sections incorporated bespoke sliding mechanisms. More information
