Victorian house remix was shortlisted for this year’s Structural Awards in small projects (£1-3m) category.
Judge’s comments were:
“This project demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of almost every aspect of structural engineering in one small building; the challenges of stitching old and new structure together, of combining different materials and using them in less conventional ways in combination with complex interaction of the building and its foundation. This was an ambitious structural design with aesthetics at its heart.”
