The Sherborne is home to the nationally significant Thornhill Mural and a landmark new destination for the arts. Malishev Engineers have helped to design contemporary extension to the arts centre using structural glue laminated timber.

Striking exposed structure, spanning 20m and creating 300sq.m of column free space combines our knowledge of design and detailing of the timber structures and metal connectors.

52 cubic meters of timber was used overall, sourced from Europe (Spruce Glulam internally timber from Germany), and UK, (larch glulam externally UK grown timber sourced locally in the Southwest).

24 tCO₂e or 59 kgCO₂e/m² embodied carbon was used on the structure, making it SCORS A+ rating.
