We ere commissioned to work on Woodchester House, Grade II listed, Stroud, Gloucestershire. 180 square meters of high-performance glazing was used over 140 square meters of the area of extension. The sliding glass are measured around 3m wide by 6m tall, high performance triple glazed units incorporating special structural spacer in the glass are possibly the largest size panels of this nature ever used in the UK, each weighing around 2 tonnes! In addition to innovative structural engineering, we have combined benefits of highly insulated glass and improvements on existing house we have managed to nearly halve energy consumption of the whole house. read more in architectural record magazine
